If you vote for bigots, people that bring neo-nazis into the white house- that is a moral failing.

If you feel a man that bragged about committing sexual assault best represents you and your ideas about our nation, that says a lot about your moral failings.

If you throw away all the ideals that you claimed to stand for simply because electing an unqualified con-man really pisses off the left, that speaks volumes...

The only way to argue that what they have done is not a failure of all morality is to argue that they never really had a moral stance to betray- and THERE you might have a point.

To say the GOP is rooted in racism isn't hyperbole- it is just a fact... a fact Trump used to his advantage- this is plainly obvious... so the people that voted for him are either:
1) Racists
or
2) They feel that racism is ok in furtherance of their agenda.

An argument can be made that option 2 makes them even more culpable- more morally responsible... calling them 'racists' may be too kind.

Seems like a long time ago we could just laugh and point out that "no" is not an idea. They were kinda cute when they were young savages.

RL's type of denunciation, where each Trumpist outrage is evidence of a specific moral failing such as racism, I think complicates the issue. It poses a multitude of causes for a multitude of attacks. But as you point out, there's a single underlying pattern on the cause side of the equation: The things they attack are the things liberals cherish.

That's their One Big Idea now, not a simple "no", but "hell no not now or ever we'd rather elect a child molester to the Senate than risk the opportunity to destroy more things that liberals cherish hell no never!".

That's how much they hate us. They've dedicated their lives to being our Kryptonite. How sad.

They voted for a narcissistic, racist, unqualified and ignorant presidential candidate because... why?

Because fighting liberals to the death on every single issue liberals care about is all the conservative movement is today. To hell with good governance or intelligent policy making. To hell with national security or the future of the planet.
