Is that Mueller is a Republican, but respected by both sides of the aisle, acceptable to even Trump at first! You will recall he was appointed by Rosenstein, the same guy who took the rap for firing Comey. But its only a matter of time before the Trumpers start trying to slander and discredit Mueller--they know that any attempt to just sack him will only backfire. And while this is all unfolding, the GOP is obsessed with and desperately maneuvering to get their tax reforms passed, and to complete their dismantling of the nations safety net and regulatory apparatus. They can get their way, or save Trump, but they can't do both. (They've already pissed away their majority trying to sabotage Obamacare. And whatever they do manage to salvage from this dilemma will be a house of cards that will collapse by the next mid-term election.

Fortunately for the rest of us, with greed inevitably comes malice, which eventually leads to incompetence. Maybe the founding fathers got it right after all. They succeeded in devising a system of government designed to unravel if taken over by assholes.
