The legacy of social media September 27, 2017 1:58 am mcfly

Social media (or as I think of it, anti-social media) didn’t *make* people stupid. It didn’t make people cruel. But it sure has revealed us as stupid and cruel.

When everyone has a voice, the ignorant are just as powerful as the wise, and the cruel just as loud as the kind. Democratized communication has led us to governance by the orchestrated greed and hate of the angry mob.

How is this good?
