Like a I said, there’s no accounting for what people say, but every time some bonehead makes this claim, they get gut-punched by the facts. No such thing as “no-go Muslim zones” anywhere in the UK or France or anywhere but the fevered swamp pits of rightwing paranoia.

Maybe they are all gone.

But the police no-go Muslim zones is one of those myths perpetuated because it justifies a particularly ugly policy, or some “evidence” of the barbarity of the Other which demands our strict control. It has the additional advantage of not being immediately verifiable or debunkable since it is conveniently an ocean away.

Its not unlike the “death panels” being set up by Obamacare. Or the concentration camps they’re going to throw all the gun owners into once the jack-booted Liberals take over.

Even the people who really like us must think we are really strange.
