"can you parody someone who was a parody in the first place?" December 8, 2015 7:17 pm Robert

So asks the author of Salon: Trump’s dark victory: Even Republicans are speaking out against the Donald’s hateful Mussolini parody.

Posted mainly because I liked the image, but a bit apropos of moving the Donald Conversation along into its latest phase, In Which The Punditry Have Become Comfortable With the F-Word. This is a good representative sample of today’s wisdom/bloviation/gasbaggery your choice. It touches lightly on what I see as a growing thread, analyzing Trump’s rise in the context of what the mob wants. It’s not as simple as Trump forcing himself on his followers, he’s pandering to them and they’re wrapped in an intimate pas de mob; and if it weren’t Trump, it’d be somebody much like him. But Trump’s demonstrably The Master (see that Who villain ref I slipped in?).

You know, an RWA thing (is that a drinking game now too?).
