Because there are Al Qaeda affiliates among the many factions of Syrian rebels, Obama is now arming Al Qaeda. Never mind 75% of the rebels are not Al Qaeda supporters. Never mind the conservative media criticized Obama for not arming them sooner. <a href="http://www.westernjournalism.com/case-impeaching-barack-hussein-obama/#LzhZuRP2YZFtL9L8.01" rel="nofollow">Now it's impeachment time for doing something he's not doing!</a>

there has only been one rape at an Occupy rally, and the Occupier was the victim, we know nothing about the perp. And you have brought up that incident at least three times as proof of how corrupt your ideological enemies are.

Now you tell me how many female plebes and midshipmen have been raped at our service academies, by "officers and gentlemen" in training. And how many female GIs have been raped in barracks and foxholes by our brave heroes in uniform?

And now you want to quibble about precise definitions ? You'll seize on any irrelevancy to discredit your enemies and put them in their place. You're a jerk, Tom.

<p>We're talking Tea Party members and those "wackofundos" you mentioned.</p>

Remember? The ones you just told us got left high and dry by all the evil rich businessmen in suits?

At least one of your premises here might be skidding off the road.

<p>The point was "thugs and bullies."</p>

It is relevant to compare levels of arson, property damage, violence, arrests, rapes, thefts and general destruction of the area of protests. Such comparisons have been done a number of times, and it's pretty obvious who the "thugs" are.

It is not relevant to compare what's written with a marker on pieces of cardboard.

could just have easily been a bunch of meek students pontificating on the left, and a person with a sign of Obamacare is White Slavery on the right.
and it would have proved no frickin point either.

There is no small government wing. There is only a big business wing.

As for the liberal excesses we can expect down the line, using conservative precedents as an excuse, I could suggest the repeal of established law by extortion and blackmail, just for starters. How would you like it if we shut down the government or wrecked the economy in order to get effective gun control, or to make abortion rights fully legal (even in Texas), or to banish private money from political campaigns?

TB, nobody swallows your "extension of state power", big bad statist crap any more; the Right has a very real and self-serving class agenda that's all about brutal power--concentrated in their hands. It is to create an environment where the "job creators" get to do any damn thing they please, to keep workers intimidated and desperate for any crumbs that trickle down from their groaning tables, where regulation and curbs on corporate brutality and greed are diminished to the point of insignificance, where worker and consumer safety, fairness, environmental protection, union rights, and even voting regulations must be first approved by a class whose primary goal is the reduction of taxes that might benefit anyone but them. You want a nation where only those who can afford to bribe lawmakers have a voice in government. And if you ever achieve that, I can guarantee your government will be anything but small. It will insinuate itself into any bodily orifice it can exploit for profit.

You've stated here yourself your goal is to return the US to the same sort of corporate domination that Teddy Roosevelt declared war on over a century ago. I say no. The Gilded Age sucked a big one. I don't want to live there.

So change your rhetoric, its starting to sound as trite and cliched as that projectile vomit boilerplate the Kremlin used to pump out.

As for your colorful little Wisconsin Fascist poster--well, I can play that game too.

<p>Just curious:</p>

<blockquote>I’m anticipating the Republicans splintering into two parties: an Eisenhower/Rockefeller moderate Center, and the usual gang of thugs and bullies on the wackofunda Right. The moderates would have a good chance of salvaging what’s left of the GOP, (and provide a necessary counter to Liberal excesses), provided they can get past their reputation for cowardice after the way they have been pushed around by the Joe the Plumbers and Archie Bunkers.</blockquote>

So in this ideal future, with the "small government" wing destroyed, what would be an example of an "excess" that you think would warrant Republicans actually rising to oppose it?

I have yet to see any extension of state power, trivial or important, that was not cheered by most of the liberals here.

Maybe a Democrat starting to put a bunch of Americans into internment camps?

If you're keeping track, the "thugs and bullies" are the ones on the right side of the picture.

Except there is no winner and no loser.

In fact, there is no opponent.

You can't get a good look at the board, and you don't get to count the pieces, or even know how many different kinds there are, or how they move.

The object of the game is to figure out what the rules are.

The only reason to play is because its fun.
