I'm sure someone has solved this problem. August 13, 2013 3:52 pm bowser

I have, at a very conservative estimate, 50 little transformers with assorted connecting plugs which have come with various phones and small appliances.  I don’t think I’ve ever thrown one away.

These transformers are rarely marked with even the brand of what they were for.  They are produced by the million and bought and sold like commodities, exactly like corn or wheat.  They aren’t made for a particular item, that’s why most aren’t labeled.

Does anyone have the guts to throw them away?  Has anyone done it?  Is there some other use for them, such as recycling?  And why, if one puts 3 or more in a box, do the wires become completely entangled, defying separation in less than 15 minutes?

I’d like to get rid of these things in some constructive way.  What has anyone else done?

  • I always get rid of them quick, because I know I will never have the guts to try them on some other piece of electronics. by alcaray 2013-08-13 16:11:36
    • I keep them all in a box. by ER 2013-08-13 15:57:30
