The Conservative agenda as it stands today. July 23, 2013 12:01 am bowser

http://neweconomy.net/content/wealth-inequality-america

The top 1% own 40% of the wealth.  The bottom 80% have 7% of the wealth.  The bottom 40% don’t even show up

The top 1% own 50% of the stocks and bonds.  The bottom 50% own 0.5%.

In 1976 the top 1% had 9% of the nations income.  In 2009 they had 24%.

And those trends are increasing, of course.  We are an oligarchy, and believe the constantly drummed in idea that we are “free”.

This is the conservative agenda, that the top 1% own almost everything, then the top 1/2% own almost everything.  Leaving essentially nothing for anyone else.

This is undeniable.  Conservatives can’t deny it, liberals can’t deny it, Libertarians (although I don’t think they exist) can’t deny it.

Why would anyone WANT a country like that?  A country where no one has a chance?  Why would a poor person, a wage-earner, an hourly worker, want such a world?  Don’t they see it?  Are they blind?  Stupid?  Or all of those?  Personally, I think they didn’t get enough iodine as children.

Anyone see France in the 1700s?  Anyone see a revolt?  When even the standing armies and Blackwaters can’t keep a starving public down?  Anyone remember the saying that every revolution carries the seeds of the next revolution in it?

When Communists took over a country they shot the top 1%.  Sometimes more.  Anyone wonder why?
