What it omits is the way this teaches us to overcome our own flaws. And it also doesn't explain that we draw ourselves into circumstances because of fields and signals embedded within our own consciousness.

We all draw unto us what we need to overcome.

Life is one big endless flaw-a-thon. We custom create our lives based upon those signals in our fields of consciousness and experience. So if we have bullied - we get bullied. And we spot in oters so that we can finally recognize and address that in ourselves.

I'm a rambling lecturer, often boring and dry - and those are the same type of posts I am bored by. I preach and lecture when the opportunity arises and am a mirror reflection of the type of person, I get irritated by.

Psychology is good, but when one can break it down even further into the very fabric of what we are, it makes it even easier to understand and to see that the process is inescapable for everyone.

And, yeah, it's not mine. It's older than time itself - like everything. No one ever is the creator. Everything is already here awaiting us to "discover" it. And my explanation probably pales next to some who could take it further and explain it much simpler. I suck at explaining stuff well. That's why I'm caught doing it. ; - )

If you want to start over, I'm game. I promise I'll be more careful.

Would you prefer Lapsang Souchong or Earl Grey? Room for milk? It looks like someone brought biscuits...

There might be some coffee.

Interesting choice of words, bowser. Static, unchanging...I'm not sure I'd call that the ideal state the HabitableZone should strive for.

The current situation is complex, and increased testiness is a symptom of the current stresses. We've had a death in the family, the tragedy in Newtowne is weighing heavily on our minds, and just when we could have gone into a nose dive, several highly valued Zoners have returned (for however long that may be; I'm not counting chickens). Only slightly less recently, we finally had the election, and half of us are still very traumatized by the outcome, afflicted with "PESD", or Post Election Stress Disorder.

Sure it's cyclic, though the amplitude of the peaks and valleys varies a lot. This has been a rough orbit.

Do you think it would help if we worked on being more consistent about differentiating between Flame and Current Events? I'm thinking that the rampant practice of posting on Flame about what's really a current event is about getting a license to be nasty with what otherwise should have been a serious post. OTOH, the "ethic" of CE ought to obligate more civility, under threat of being banished to Flame.

In other words, a return to the ancien regime we followed for many years.

And maybe it would confine the turds in the litter box and out of the wonderful living room with the fine fireplace and all (that was a nice image, bowser, right until you introduced the turds).

Wadda ya think about that, bowser?

SDAI's "mirror principle" is as much SDAI's as the Pythagorean Theorem is SDAI's.

Goes back to Freud.
