I agree with ER that she's going to be a huge thorn in the Republican side, and they made a strategic blunder trying to block her appointment to head the CFPB on grounds of competency. Now she's a Senator and in a position of power on the Banking Committee. Sublime. Do I "see the White House in her future" like ER? Well, I'd vote for her, certainly, but I'm not sure that the Presidency would be the best use of her gifts. She may well have found her most influential niche in the Senate, on a finance-related committee, working her way up, quickly I think, to chairmanship. She's an eloquent and brilliant economic policy wonk, who ought to be in a position to legislate economic policy. However it plays out, I'm expecting Senator Warren to be a force to be reckoned with. She'd do great in the Intelligence Oversight Committee or the Foreign Relations Committee. I think Liz Warren will be a much bigger headache for the Republicans now than if they had not resisted her appointment to that regulatory agency the President originally nominated her for.
