Which future do you prefer? November 19, 2012 1:07 pm Jeff-Wash

Hi!

It’s been a while since I posted here at HZ; I’ve had other, more important issues and circumstances to deal with. But a short while ago I saw a DVD of a famous/infamous Floridian named Jacques Fresco. I have to admit that he is a genius, though he tends to be full of himself at times, arrogant; even an ‘intellectual bully’.

Mr. Fresco has ONE view of the future; and another famous futurist, Ray Kurzweil, has another.  In some ways they complement each other, in other ways they either contradict or at least are in competition with each other.

This HZ forum website (and its BBS progenitor)  were originally set up on the basic philosophy of a ‘better future through technology’ tenet.

So I ask you: Which future do you prefer? That of Ray Kurzweil? Or that of Jacques Fresco?
