All they sell is clicks. The more they trick you into clicking, the more money they make.

People who don’t know the difference are stupid, they might actually buy the product..

Those who do are very annoying, they might do their shopping somewhere else.

We should all make it a point, whenever possible, to avoid buying from advertisers who annoy or insult us. And tell everyone we know what we are doing and encourage them to do the same.

That may not work very effectively commercially, but this year, politically, it was a terrific success.

Cost/benefit.

In the Age of TV, Radio, and Print Ads, it cost money to advertise. If not enough people responded, you took a bath.

Internet ads, particularly e-mail spam, cost almost nothing to reach millions. I suspect almost any response at all puts you in the black.

They don’t seem to grasp the obvious: that the more intrusive and annoying their advertising is, the less likely we are to buy their products.
