He shows the CBO graph, runs with it, but declares the means of reaching that baseline goal (tax cuts expiring, Medicare payments dropped) “wholly unrealistic.”

Unfortunately, not doing those things on that list is exactly what generates the alternative baseline scenario. And pretending you’re going to do them “someday” doesn’t get the job done.
