As we know oil prices are set by global markets so all of this is nonsense. What's even more clear, is the world is awash in oil, and the US is on the verge of becoming the world's low cost energy producer with fracking. There's no question the environmental impact will be severe, but there will be huge downward pressure on energy prices over the coming decade. Big surprise there.
