Regarding the shootings inside an Afghan ministry which killed an American colonel and major.

That the two officers were killed is unfortunate, and one can only pass along condolences to their family and friends.  Apparently, they were shot at their desks inside a very secure facility.

“The perpetrator of this attack is a coward whose actions will not go unanswered,” Allen said in a statement.  (“Allen” is an American General in charge of all US and NATO forces in Afghanistan.)

The perp had to get into the facility, shoot two people, and is either hiding inside or has fled.  It’s not known at this writing.  Whatever else he is, he is NOT a coward.  It’s taken a brave man to do this and the General is full of cow flop.

What IS cowardly is sitting in a room in Florida flying a drone, and shooting a group of Aghani hoping against hope that there is a combatant in the mix of casualties.  Frankly, that’s the way to fight a war, and compared to a personal encounter where one could lose one’s own life it is cowardly.

A sure way to failure, one which the US keeps implementing, is to underestimate your opponent and overestimate yourselves.
