Update on the asteroid census September 29, 2011 4:11 pm TB

As points of reference, the asteroid that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs is currently estimated at being about 10 km in diameter, and the nickel-iron meteorite that created Meteor Crater is estimated at about 50 meters in diameter.
