In Britain, it looks like some citizens are now calling for the break up of Murdoch’s empire. We should have done that a long time ago here. Instead, our government has just let them run amok and buy more and more media outlets. Shameful.

I hope you’re wrong. Murdoch is someone who has abused his position and corrupted the news reporting process. It pisses me off because if one station, paper, whatever does it, they all think it’s OK and it’s not. I want apolitical coverage so that I have all the info and can make up my own mind. I don’t need assholes skewing it to the right or the left.

The furor is about to cross the Atlantic. If it is found that 9/11 victims were hacked, Murdoch may find himself in deep doodoo over here. One wonders how many of us have prayed for the downfall of Rupert Murdoch and his publishing empire. I certainly have. He thought he was immune because he "owned" a lot of politicians, knew where the bodies were buried. That may not be enough now. The sleeping bear has awakened and it's got Murdoch in its jaws. Let's hope it chews him up and spits him out, his empire crushed.

Read some history. The Labour party were stooges of the Polit Bureau. Many of their high ranking members would go to the USSR back in the 60s and 70s for parties with the Soviet leadership. Everyone of them had a KGB handler. .

They’re prosecuting them, tracking them hard. The public is outraged. A high up police official is getting hit with pressure to resign because he dropped the ball and decided not to pursue the hacking earlier.

There are at least a couple of people who have already been prosecuted for hacking into the Royals’ cell phones. Then one of them messed with the then PM’s medical records and printed them on his son. Stupid, really stupid.

The penalties on this should be so severe there and here and everywhere that it’s too expensive for anyone to even dare to try it.

And Murdoch is under more and more pressure. It’s almost like his empire is crashing down around him. His stock value has dropped considerably and the deal he was making doesn’t look like it’s going to fly anytime soon.
