He's 20. The unemployment rate for 16 to 19 year-olds is currently floating in the 25 percent range. It has never been higher since the first BLS measurements in 1948. Republicans are also proposing raising the number of hours children can legally work. Next they'll push lowering the minimum ages. Teach 'em responsibility, teach them good work habits. It worked in the 19th century, it will work now. It's all about cheap labor, and dividing the work force so that workers are competing against each other for jobs, driving down wages. Now they'll be competing against children as well as each other. Child labor will replace the illegal immigrant worker. Man, am I glad I don't have to deal with this crap any more. Everything.
