Hint: with pdf’s, right click and “Save Target As…”, then download to your ‘puter.

The DX doesn’t seem to have Wi-Fi (does have the free cell connection). I have no idea why.

My Dad just plugs his into his computer with a USB port.

The 3G unit is more expensive, but uses cell phone signals to connect. The good news: You don’t need your own cell phone account! Amazon covers all the costs of connection.

Looks like they have a built-in wireless card

for downloading via 3G cell-phone connection. Transfering audio books and mp3′s requires a computer hook up via usb with at least Windows 2000 on the computer.
