The driver walks away, and as far as I could tell, no serious injuries at trackside. Watch that wheel chasing that cameraman, though.
Composite structure, lightweight and strong. Protected the driver, and if it’s anything like the stuff I’ve seen down at Scaled, being hit with a chunk of it is a lot more benign than being hit with a chunk of metal. It feels kind of like coated styrofoam.
