You did nothing wrong. But the post you instinctively recoiled from and rightly attacked is from our resident troll, a foul racist sleaze who occasionally does some guerrilla posting here. Lately, he seems to have developed a particular animosity against me. As usual, he infiltrated a harmless, good natured thread in order to inject his hit-and-run bigotry. My response to you was directed at him, not you, but, upon reflection, I chose to withdraw it because it is best to ignore these people rather than try to engage them in debate or swap insults. And they are beyond being swayed by appeals to reason. Space is probably our most widely visited board (by non-regulars), and our science guests should not be subjected to this garbage in what should be a neutral and informative venue. As for you, my young man, you ARE too Canadian. There's no need to be so apologetic and tolerant. This is the planet of knee-jerk reactions and we're a thick-skinned bunch here (as you've no doubt noticed) and you have conducted yourself honorably so far. No need to apologize, McFly.
