Nah. Nothing that profound. Just pointing out people who live in mansions who make money singing about those rich bastards living in mansions. Certainly these two musicians (who I am fans of, incidentally) aren’t the worst offenders.

When they started making a lot of money, they also wrote “Tax Man.”

Certainly rock stars, hypocritical or not, earn the money they make. I have no problem with that.

“Class traitor” is not part of the conservative lexicon. That’s a leftist buzzword.

Isn’t that what U Peeple call “Class traitors”? Or is it just that rich or talented liberals don’t conveniently fall into your convenient definition of unambitious, lazy, helpless, inept whiners. What’s the word again, looters?

And that might even lead to the conclusion that not all conservatives are bold, innovative, courageous, creative entrepreneurial heroes.

The National Bureau of Economic Research, which seems to be the go-to place for deciding when recessions start and end, officially declared the last one to have started in December of 2007 and ended in June of 2009. These dates are usually announced a year or so after they occur. The start and finish dates often have nothing to do with what the economy is doing at exactly that time.

Here’s their list of the last four recessions and their durations:

12/07 – 6/09 18 months
3/01 – 11/01 8 months
7/90 – 3/91 8 months
7/81 – 11/82 16 months
