Where the President gets to take pokes at anyone he wants and a comedian gets to take pokes at the President face to face and at everyone else, too. Tonight’s entertainer was Seth Meyers from SNL. He didn’t go over as well as he should have but the journalists and the President and First Lady and I enjoyed him. He took some pretty rough swipes at Donald Trump who sat like a stone garden gnome scaring little children.
I do not trust anyone who has no sense of humor and who can’t laugh at him (or her) self. Donald Trump has no sense of humor and can’t laugh at himself. He made a pathetic asshole of himself sitting there like a thunder god.
While I do NOT agree with Newt Gingrich’s politics, I personally like the man. He has a great sense of humor and can laugh at himself with no problem at all. I loved that C-Span’s cameras were plastered on Trump while Seth cracked jokes about him. Trump has proved himself adept at one thing: shooting himself in the foot. He IS the joke.
