I guess we better stop all science, because, after all, every field
is made up of imperfect, emotional humans.
The kind of purity you are asknig for is not possible in an imperfect
world. Science does the best it can with those parameters and in
most cases it succeeds better than hoped.
Crying that SETI and other sciences are a religion serves what
purpose? Do you have a better idea? I guess we should just stop
speculating and hypothesizing until we have absolute proof and
knowledge of everything, right? And if we do nothing it will just
fall in our laps, correct?
