Now if we could just store it!

Hi Tom

Any ideas on how to store the day-time excess to make best use of solar? Plug-in hybrids could, theoretically, provide a quite logical storage service to the Grid, though just how utilities should then be charged for the privilege I'm unsure.

Bulk ultra-capacitors, anyone? I'm hoping the high-temperature super-conductors that Brian Wang has been tracking on "Next Big Future" will provide the ultimate storage medium. Amazing things will be possible with superconductors able to handle high magnetic fields.
