Yes that was a mighty event, but if the Big Bang is true, then this “burst” would be a very small event in comparison.

What I do not understand is; if we started off at the same time from the Big Bang and it took light 7.5 billion years to come here, how did we get here before the light? :-)

Whatever direction the remnants of that event are travelling, then they have had 7.5 billion years of time to go in that direction, so, how far are they now?
