However, Cowing has recently lost my confidence as an objective reporter when it comes to Zubrin. Has anyone else read the article in question? Does the section quoted reflect the overall tone of the piece or represent an out of character peak in inappropriatenes. I am quite unhappy with the choice of words in any event and am getting quite tired of these types of public relations fiascos.
1) The inflammatory comments about a member of Congress over Transhab.
2) Inflammatory comments with regard to planetary protection published in the Planetary Report.
3) The comments quoted above.
Zubrin has done a lot for Martian exploration and in developing the Mars Society, but he needs to be far more careful about making offensive public comments when he is the public personification of the Mars Society.
