Men are programmed by evolution to do a lot of things that would get them kicked out of nice restaurants, or possibly arrested.
The difference between humans and monkeys is that humans can choose their behaviors. "That woman is attractive (the monkey talking), but I am married, and I value the marriage and my family more highly (the human talking)."
A simple matter of free choice, like overeating or any other "instinctive" behaviors. Most psychological "addictions" involve people who need to pretend that they don't have a choice in what they do.
Incidentally, a relationship starts to work a lot better when you stop thinking only in terms of "what am I getting out of this?" That's human behavior over instinct, too.
