I disagree.
They CAN be, but I thik ER was referring to romantic, sexual love........ the driving force of an intimate relationship with special boundaries. I know men can be cavalier about sex, and see "their women" as sort of "property", but most of those same men don't fare so well when wifie goes and finds herself a studly lover.
They may be "cuckolded". Is that the right word?
Whatever it is, it is messy and ruins perfectly good relationships.
In my book, double dipping should be agreed upon beforehand. If you're not happy in your relationship, then you should confront the problem first. Not create another.
However, I personally think the institution of marriage is a tad outdated.
And I find cheaters in marriages as less than honorable people.
