My immediate thoughts were selfish:"What's to become of Pathfinder...?"
My after thoughts were giving:
"A man of revealed power has left behind a noble legacy of family, honor and friendship -- and he will be sorely missed by those he has touched."
And now I think of the Wolf Clan:
"Will the language recovery project he was involved with continue -- and what's to become of Pathfinder...?"
His pain is now passed, where ours just begins. Perhaps we'll cross roads again.
There was a link I felt with him, though tenuous at best. I am a descendant of Wolfs, where Wolf is actually my mother's maiden name. We're from the Bavarian mountain Wolfs of Europe, though -- frontiersmen from the mid 1800’s. On my father’s side we find a Mayflower crossing, and a genealogical search through my family history also reveals that I am approx. 1/32 Cherokee. Not much, but it counts.
I've missed him far too much over recent months, and now I learn there will be no relief -- so I’ll just press on...
Stay well, Richard,
Dan
