DSL "AirPort" glitch.
Posted by TB on 5/5/2008 7:14:34 PM
Got the new and improved DSL hookup, and am running at about ten times the download rate I was before for half the price, which doesn't suck.

I run the system out of the modem and through an old Apple AirPort, which handles the IP addressing for the rest of my home network, and broadcasts to the Macs in the house.

To get the low price, I had to settle for a shared phone line with my home line instead of a dedicated one. It works, but whenever I get a phone call on that line, the AirPort kacks. I can easily fix it by unplugging it and plugging it back in, but it's irritating.

The phone line has the proper DSL filter on it. Don't know what the deal is. Any Mac wizards have an idea?
