Maybe, but setting it up would be a bitch, since most computers have to have the OS in place even to see the USB ports, never mind mapping a flash drive as a virtual disk.

I've never seen a bios that can be instructed to try to boot from a USB port, but who knows what's on the newest computers?

And of course, with all the authorization stuff involved in things like Microsoft operating systems, you have another layer of complexity.

Why would you want to do this?
