Hello, Buck. To clarify, I believe either Clinton or Obama would be a great president from the point of view of your basic American and for the welfare of the country. My choice of Obama is made without being broken-hearted if Clinton is elected.
My decision is based of several negative and one large positive matter. Negatively, I'm tired of politicians who lie, deceive and dissemble for no good reason. That's Hillary. Another negative for her is Bill. I'm plain sick and tired of his shenigans. He needs to do what Lyndon Johnson did after the presidency, have the grace to just head off and drink himself to death. And I remember the horrific smear jobs done by both of them on the women who Bill fancied, groped and screwed.
A positive for Obama is his commitment to a variety of matters without having to be detail specific. No matter what a candidate says, the program will change. Obama could negotiate and compromise. Hillary has a bad history of attempting to create her specific program and, when it collapsed, leaving the country in worse shape than ever. That's silly.
I trust Obama, and trust Hillary, too. As a youth she did a great job volunteering for childrens' causes. Overall, so far I believe Obama to be as honest as a politician can be, and Hillary to be as dishonest as a politician can be - she seems to be tempted to lie when the truth would be easier.
And I would find it a joy to vote for either instead of Bush Plus, the borrow-more-and-spend-more, shoot-if-they-have-oil candidate.
