Wright was not an aberration. Wright represents a certain way of thinking which has pretty much absorbed the black Democratic leadership. Obama gravitated to Wright's church because that kind of thing is expected of anyone who is going to make any progress in Democratic politics as a black person.

Go ahead, make a list of black Democratic political leaders, elected and otherwise, and look what you end up with. If Obama had gone the route through the U.S. Congress he would have wound up in the leftist Congressional Black Caucus.

If anger and frustration are "passed on to the next generation," it's mostly because angry, frustrated people make better political cannon fodder for the Left than successful, self-reliant and self-confident people.
