This well woven tapestry over here collects the brightest of colors from ALL walks of life.
And to some degree we are all entertwined, whether we like it or not. Some are black and they are next to the yellow, which they can't stand. Some are the knots that break up the pattern and ruin the tailored look.
But we are all designers. Tom was our Energizer Bunny. His myriad of posts gave us something to fight for (or against), this place might have died on the vine, if Tom hadn't polarized so many brain cells into action, for good or for ill.
I may not have liked his conservative rants without ever giving an inch. Surrender, or even compromise was not any part of his online persona. I genuinely like Tom, but not his politics.
Some conservatives are BORN that way. I see it as a degree of personal elitism, a badge of honor to be worn with pride. There's not enough money in my bank acccount to feel that smug, and proclaim it.
Whatever set you off Tom, was (probably in the long run) just a little too much angst, along with some pressing personal problems. I know this place gets to me when there are other things that are tying up my attention. Give yourselfr a good month off and creep back here and surprise us.
I know for one, I'll be delighted if you do.
