I don't need anyone telling me "over and over" again, every day, for years at time. You just don't get it, do you? It's not your message that has this board so steamed, it's having it rammed down our throats continuously and endlessly. This bored(sic) is not a private playground for political indoctrination, we are not here to be instructed, corrected and set straight, no doubt for our own good. What gives anyone the right to come here and use this medium as a means of political education, as if it were some form of Vietnamese political re-education camp?
My hobbies are astronomy and sailing, and I'm always afraid I bring them up here more often than I should and people will get fed up with my talking about them. But I don't come anywhere near the quantity of the constant stream of partisan politics that constantly flows through here. Does it really make you guys feel any better? Do you really think you are going to change anyone's mind? Don't you think that any merit your beliefs might have have been ignored due to the constant bludgeoning which they are constantly delivered?
It doesn't matter whether its Jesus, the New York Yankees, Pyramid Power, Krishna consciousness, Britney, Brad and Angelina or the relative merits of Ford vs Chevy. It's not the message, it's the medium. Enough is enough. I've seen this board become a political battleground to the exclusion of everything else, and I don't know about the others, but I have had it up to here. Give it a rest. Change the subject. Get a life. Frankly, I don't give a damn what your politics are. I REALLY DON'T CARE.
