Did I get your attention??..lol
Headed for my hometown Wednsday mornin'...I will be back next Wednesday. I am going to my 35th high school reunion. I have never been to one before.
The first 10 years after I graduated I could have cared less about attending. I was busy building a clientele, home, life and babies.
As the children got older a vacation was NOT my hometown, where you cut an apple in half and watch it turn brown for excitement.
We indulged ourselves with Walt Disney World, Washington DC, and Destin, Florida beaches.
I had gained a significant amount of weight and I was ashamed to be seen. I never even stopped to think about everyone else and how they looked. I left Cortland at 19....so that is how I had all my classmates envisioned...looking the way they did when I left back in '74....as if time stood still for them and not me.
I can not say if I would go now if I still weighed 230...probably not..but I am thrilled to not be in *that place* anymore. I can focus on what is really important...
How everyone else has aged *except* me...ha ha
