I live on the southern end of the East Texas Piney woods. I lived in Nacogdoches for 5 years. I love the piney forest. I have ten 200 foot tall pines in my yard.
The Texas Hill country, west of Austin, is beautiful country, IMO. The lakes and rivers there are clear. Less humidity there than over here in Southeast Texas.
Austin is a neat town. I also like San Antono and all the little towns between them.
