Well, I'm headed south. Went from Marietta, home of the F-22 Raptor, to New Orleans, Memphis, Vicksberg, down to Austin and now to El Paso. Thence Tucson, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Tonopah, etc.
Didn't make it over to the East Coast, that will have to wait. I wish I didn't have the seats in this thing, don't stay in it, but it's been a great experience. No real schedule, no real route, no timetable.
Texas is NOT what I thought. The eastern part is beautiful. Wonderful trees, rolling hills, fields with enough grass to make a former cow owner salivate. The people have been completely wonderful.
Thanks for asking. The van is not "down by the river" because there really aren't rivers around here. You can see the bottom of them, though. I can imagine that after a thunderstorm they fill fast, though. Feast or famine.
