I do thank Modern Medicine for saving my life. While I was being operated on to remove the tumor, back in October, the doctors gave me a 50% chance of surviving because my colon was near rupturing. I know I would not have lasted much longer without the operation. A couple of more days and I would have died a painful death.
They did a genetic test and found it was not genetic. They don’t know why I got it. I am in a 7% - 9% group of young people who get it for no reason.
The rest of my body was healthy. I just had this one tumor. Had it not blocked my colon when it did, I probably would have caught it at stage IV, and that would have been a tough fight.
The best way to prevent colon cancer is to get colonoscopies. Those can catch, and remove, polyps before they become cancerous. If you are under 50, they usually do not perform those. I am thinking they should lower that age.
I have to be cancer free for five years (From last October) before they say I am cured.
