![]() Tom A. Brosz Tom is a launch system designer and 3-D graphics artist. He has spent most of the last three decades working with Gary C. Hudson on various space systems. Designs he has worked on with Gary include the Percheron pressure-fed modular launch system, the Phoenix single-stage-to-orbit VTOVL, and the Roton rotor-landing launch vehicle with the Rotary Rocket Company. Other work he has done includes mechanical design for the Gravity Probe B program at Stanford University, and work on the Foxjet private business jet. He was also the writer and editor of the Commercial Space Report, a monthly newsletter devoted to commercial space operations with an emphasis on space transport. The photo at left shows him with the prototype Roton Aerodynamic Test Vehicle. The one on the right shows him in his usual position grafted to a computer keyboard.
