From 2004 to 2006, Lalo Fox was simultaneously the Poetry Editor and Managing Editor of Ink Pot, a quarterly print literary journal. In late 2005, he became one of three "Janitors on Duty" at The Hiss Quarterly, a literary Web-zine, where he wrangles submissions (akin to herding cats), shares in the selection of poems and prose for each issue, uses his n00b skillz to assist production, and authors the column "LaLo Land".

Fox also co-moderates the Current Events board with FrankC.

When not editing, Fox is either attempting to finish several long works of science fiction, writing the occasional poem, corresponding with friends worldwide he will probably never meet in person, blowing up Shivans in "Descent: Freespace", or posting to Habitable Zone.

He rarely steps away from his computer, except to eat, read, sleep, or go outside to look at the sky.
