The only "sin" of Gore is that he faces reality. He seems to be more interested in truth than spin, a long-term liveable world than short-term profits for multi-nationals. That is sure to evoke the emnity of Conservatives.
On the other hand is a profit-driven denial sounding exactly like the harmlessness of cigarettes of a while back. It made sense that they were harmful, but folks pulled out "studies" funded by tobacco interests in order to cloud the issue.
Those who wanted to could always, then, point to "conflicting studies".
