I doubt he would appoint SC judges based on reversal of RvsW even if there are confirmable candidates that would vote that way.

He mealy mouths about abortion but is mainly against pba, (as are many) but there is no indication that he wants to regress to back room abortions and he has said that he would not support criminalization of mothers seeking abortion. He has also said that if elected he would be a friend to rtl but avoids implying that it would be an important issue for him.

The only people that truly support rtl are the stupid and the hyper-religious (usually a combo of both) McCain is neither, and sadly nothing he says on this issue can be taken seriously until he is elected. He is weighing the votes to be gained vs votes to be lost.

Nevertheless, it is perfectly understandable and reasonable for you or anyone else to judge him on what he has said. I would expect nothing else. Many people will decide whether or not to vote for Obama based on the face value of what he has said.

This is the sad state of American politics regardless of what side you are on. How do we catch the conscience of the King?
