I come here for a drink, a smoke, maybe a flirt, and some pleasant conversation, not a fight. Unfortunately, a pugnacious attitude is contagious, and I recognize myself in the middle of a brawl myself often than I'd like. And although I am a peaceful man, I pack heat.
I'll give it one more chance, and from now on I'll try simply not responding to any post I perceive to be merely an attempt to pick a fight or monopolize the conversation. If everyone who felt the way I do would do the same, perhaps the bikers would go find another bar to hold their meetings. If they don't, I will.
I recognize people can be passionate and committed to their beliefs, I am to mine, too. But people also have to realize when they go into a public place not everyone there is either an ally or an enemy. Most times they just don't care, and freedom of speech nothwithstanding, no one has a constitutional right to bore his neighbors.
The purpose of good natured debate is to persuade and inform, not humiliate and insult, your opponents.
