American Horror Story December 13, 2012 12:19 am FrankC

Not sure if any of y’all have caught this series on the FX cable but it is definitely worth a look. I am not usually a fan of horror but the excellent cast and story line is so good it has me hooked.

They tell a new story each season, using the same cast in quite different roles. Last year was a good ghost story that managed to hold my attention solely because of the excellent performances by the actors. Anyone that like ghost stories would love it I’m sure but I am lukewarm on any ghost story.

This year the story takes place in a mid-century Catholic Insane Asylum. It is an outrageous but riveting story of a Bedlam style facility and the horror of being illegally confined among the criminally insane and overseen by sadistic sociopaths in an unenlightened period. Again the performances are nearly flawless.
